Christ is risen! Truly He is risen!

We greet you warmly in the joy of the Resurrection! Thank you to all who participated in the celebration of Palm Sunday, Holy Week, and Pascha. Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen!

We greet you warmly on this awesome and life-creating feast of Our Lord’s Pascha, His Resurrection. Thank you to all who journeyed through Lent, labored in spirit, confessed their sins, and as a community worked to make this celebration so beautiful and joyful for our community.

Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen!

“Why is it that on a Feast Day the whole of nature mysteriously smiles? Why is it that then a heavenly gladness fills our hearts; a gladness far beyond that of earth and the very air in church and in the altar becomes luminous? It is the breath of Thy gracious love. It is the reflection of the glory of Mount Tabor. Then do heaven and earth sing Thy praise: Alleluia!”

–the Ninth Kontakion, from the Service of Thanksgiving “Glory to God for All Things”

Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen!

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Christ Is Risen! Truly He is Risen!

On this Holy night, what other greeting is needed? What other greeting is exchanged? In the stillness and quiet of Christ’s Resurrection, the whole world bursts into song with rejoicing and now, the hope – that we are not reduced to sorrow and death –  is realized! Indeed a new creation is upon us and a Holy destiny awaits us, because of this blessed night. We are filled with God’s love and forgiveness, and through His divine condescension we are brought ever closer to Him in His love.

With love and affection,

There exists on earth many societies and entire governments that do not consider the need nor the obligation to call upon and glorify the Queen of heaven and earth, the Mother of Our Divine Lord Jesus Christ, and other saints and angels; to submissively serve Her lovingly, as the true Mother of God. Sadly in Russia nowadays we have heretics (among us) who actively dishonor the Mother of God, the saints, their icons, their relics and their festivals. O, if only they also unanimously with us glorified the worthy Queen of heaven and earth! Continue reading The Great Feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos
