With sadness, but with hope in the Resurrection, we announce the repose of the servant of God, the +Reader Fredric Fetkowitz, late in the evening on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
Fred, together with his beloved wife Edna, has been associated with our parish community since its very beginnings, and for decades assisted the parish in innumerable ways.
On May 15, 2016, on the occasion of the parish’s 50th anniversary, Fred was ordained to the rank of “reader”, the first rank of the clergy, as a fulfillment of his decades of dedication chanting the Epistle and other liturgical readings during services.
In the summer of 2020, Fred & Edna marked their 60th wedding anniversary, a major and wonderful milestone they both had long looked forward to.
Fred will be greatly missed by all. May his memory be eternal!
