Memory eternal: Gregory Andruk

With sadness but with hope in the Resurrection, we announce that our brother +Gregory Andruk has fallen asleep in our Lord, on the Feast of the Meeting of Our Lord, February 2, 2021. He was ill with cancer for several years, and in recent months it returned and afflicted him greatly.

For many years, Greg was a trustee on our Parish Council, and brought his skills and energies to helping address the needs of the parish, as he had for many years in previous parishes he was a member at, including St. Nicholas Church in Whitestone, Queens. Greg would have celebrated his 91st birthday in May.

The funeral service will be held here at St. Andrew’s on Saturday, February 6, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery. Everyone is welcome to attend; please abide by State and Diocesan face mask requirements. Please note that there will be no wake beforehand.

May the memory of the newly-departed servant of God +Gregory be eternal!

  1. Gregory, it will be three years since you left this world. I am sorry Kathryn and I failed you in trying to make things right, it wasn’t due to our not trying. Hopefully, someday you will be able to Rest in Peace. I miss you Al S.
